Mr. Aswin Phlaphongphanich is the Co-founder and CEO of DeeMoney – Thailand’s leading and fastest-growing fintech specialising in cross-border payments. Born in Thailand, in a Sikh family, Aswin is the epitome of a self-made person, who started his first business from the basement garage, in his apartment, at the age of 21. Coming from a prominent real-estate and hotelier family that saw its fortune collapse during the 1997 Tom Yum Kung crisis, during his formative years, Aswin’s goal was to ensure survival for his family and himself. An enigmatic and charismatic leader, Aswin’s grit and perseverance has been shaped largely by the experience of hitting rock bottom and the journey back up. His resilience has taken him through multiple successful ventures during this entrepreneurial journey.
